Sometimes we do not need to look too far to know if our health is in good shape or not. When we experience a certain kind of tiredness, it could be an indication of a number of possible health lapse and we may just need to pay attention to this sign closely and act according; by visiting a hospital or an approved health care unit.

It’s similar to how you feel when you have the flu or have missed a lot of sleep. If you have chronic fatigue, or systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID), you may wake in the morning feeling as though you’ve not slept. Or you may be unable to function at work or be productive at home. You may be too exhausted even to manage your daily affairs.’

Here are a number of possible health lapses that could come with fatigue and general body weakness as an indicator:

  1. In most cases, there’s a basic reason for fatigue. It might either be physical stress,¬†or depression (emotional drain).
  2. Fatigue in more critical cases may be a sign of anaemia, a chronic kidney, liver or, lung disease (COPD).
  3. In other cases, it could be a bacterial or viral infection, or some other health condition.

Irrespective of how mild fatigue is, so far there is a lack of physical alertness, then you may need to visit the hospital or health care unit and speak with a Doctor. You cannot be too sure every time. Yes, the lack of physical alertness can be as a result of stress, which will require that one gets sufficient rest; but in the absence of intense stress, you may need to run a medical health check.
